Welcome to ICSM 2010
We cordially invite you to attend the "International Conference on Science and Technology of Synthetic Metals 2010" (ICSM 2010), which will be held on July 4th-9th, 2010, at Kyoto International Conference Center in Japan.
In order to promote international cooperation and exchange in the field of synthetic metals, and to provide a forum for continuing scientific discussion, ICSM has been held at Siofok (1976), New York (1977), Dubrovnik (1978), Helsingor (1980), Boulder (1981), Les Arcs (1982), Abano Terme (1984), Kyoto (1986), Santa Fe (1988), Tubingen (1990), Goteborg (1992), Seoul (1994), Snowbird (1996), Montpellier (1998), Bad Gastein (2000), Shanghai (2002), Wollogong (2004), Dublin (2006), and Porto de Galinhas (2008). The first ICSM to take place in Asia was held in Kyoto in 1986 and the prosperity of this field has indeed been conspicuous since that event, particularly in Asia. Keeping in mind our slogan, "Return to Kyoto," we are confident that the 20th ICSM will witness the passing of the baton from our illustrious predecessors to the next generation of researchers, who will further advance our understanding of synthetic metals and extend their applications in related fields.
Kyoto, the ancient capital city of Japan, has a history in excess of 1200 years. The conference venue is surrounded by many temples, shrines and breath-taking natural scenery. This conference will provide you with a rare opportunity to both observe the scientific progress on synthetic metals and enjoy the historical city of Kyoto, Japan.
